Comfortable & a change from International plastic
Service was great, couldnt of asked for more. Hotel was lovely and warm - no complaints whatsoever.
Everything about this hotel was just lovely. Traditional Scottish hotel with beautiful decor inside, lovely log fires & friendly staff. We had a lovely time and will be returning very soon. I would recommend staying here to anyone who loves Scotland. The added bonus is that the train station is just behind the hotel, so you can travel without the car too.
Staff very welcoming, efficient service ,hearty breakfast .
Although rooms were clean, warm, the furniture and bathroom was little dated would benefit from makeover, However would definately recommend to others and stay again.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, food in the bar was quite good.
Bedroom decor was dark, gloomy and very unattractive. Lighting was quite inadequate for reading. Paintwork, carpets etc would benefit greatly from a thorough cleaning.
Friendly welcoming staff, great breakfast and large warm bedrooms, all in all a fantastic hotel that is attached to a pub, and offers quality accommodation at a decent price.
Warm lounge with lovely fire gave the whole area a welcoming glow. nice array of comfy seats-old fashioned atmosphere. Restaurant setting quite unusual and attractive. Food -prompt service and good value. Old radiators in bedroom gave out great warmth
The evening meal in the main restaurant and the open fire in the lounge
We went to a concert at Blair Castle. The hotel was full with concert-goers. I checked in advance what time the bar closed and was told (I have the email) 12:30. The information in the room said 12:00, but when we reached the hotel after walking back from the concert, the bars were both closed. The receptionist, after making us wait unnecessarily, said "no beer, no ice and the till is closed so it must go on the room". I can only serve you one and then closed the room (the lounge). We were first back from the concert and maybe four or five others made it back in time to buy one drink, but then she turned off the lights and locked the bar up at 11:10. Bad Service like that annoys me and we will probably not stay here again. Plus, they lost a lot of income as most of the returning concert-goers were looking for drinks. Last thing, I wrote to the hotel about this and other comments, three days ago and nobody replied.
As we were attending a concert at Blair Castle the location was excellent. Room was comfortable and well appointed for our needs. Breakfast was top drawer.
Returning from the concert, it was only 11pm, both the Bothy bar and the hotel bar were shut !!! Despite the hotel being busy and there being people in the bar area looking for service this provision was incredibly closed. After remonstrating with staff we managed to purchase some bottled beer. It beggars belief. Poor in the extreme.
Proximity to Blair Atholl castle - we were attending a concert Nice open fires Good bar meals Friendly
Breakfast was a disaster - should be a nice memory as it is the last thing you do there!! The Great Hall where we had breakfast is magnificent. However.. Very rushed service Plates hot - food cold. How do they do it?? We think breakfast chef did not care at all
Enjoyed sitting in the ounge with log fire and having free access to internet. Ideal for access to Blair Atholl amenities, Bruar, Pitlochry and Blair Castle. Parking facilities good and friendly staff.
Tipical scottish atmosphere Good position to visit Blair castle Good breakfast
Very small room Non really clan, boh room and bathroom were dirty Bad value fior money
We love this hotel. We always stay here if we can on our journey to the north of Scotland. It has everything we need and is lovely at any time of the year. The price is very reasonable and the dining room and lounges exceptional. The staff are always pleasant and the breakfasts excellent.
